Angels Share began with a quiet moment of noticing.
If you are interested in the full story, you can read more in “The Beginning” blog post. But at the heart of that first experience was a simple realization: one practical gift, given at the right time, can travel farther than anyone could imagine.
What started as one act of kindness slowly became something John and Tara could not ignore. Over the years, the idea kept coming back. John would share it with friends, family, and sometimes complete strangers, wondering out loud what could happen if a community came together to help the people who had spent their lives helping others.
Little by little, the seed began to grow.
The family continued looking for opportunities to step in when someone needed help. Sometimes the need was small. Sometimes it was urgent. But every time, the lesson was the same: generosity has a way of multiplying. A single gift can restore peace, relieve pressure, and remind someone they are not alone.
In January 2026, Angels Share officially became a charity.
Rooted in faith and created to serve Jesus, Angels Share exists to support the local heroes in our community: teachers, coaches, first responders, caregivers, volunteers, and everyday servants who give so much of themselves to others. These are the people who show up, lead, teach, protect, encourage, and care. And when life brings an unexpected hardship, we believe the community should show up for them, too.
What began as something small now carries the hope of becoming something much bigger.
In 2026, two great friends joined the mission as Angels Share’s first board members (Colby and Kylie Dysert), helping turn the vision into a formal charity with a clear purpose and a growing future. We are still in the early days, but our mission is bold: to create a movement of kindness, generosity, and practical support that makes our community stronger.
Angels Share is built on the belief that small gifts can create lasting change.
And when a community chooses to care for its local heroes, everyone rises together.
